It wasn’t that long ago that I was just like you, wondering how to land my dream job.
At 20, I had multiple job offers because I was a top-notcher during my pre-board CPA exams. I wanted to work for a company that values God and yes I landed a job at Punongbayan and Araullo, former Ernst & Young Manila.
At 22, I was tired of writing tax reports and I wanted to work for another company, yes I got a job at Intel Philippines.
At 26, I got tired from Intel because of the workload of managing individual and corporate taxation for 5 companies. I wanted to work in another country. Yes, I got the job at Emirates Airlines in Dubai.
At 32, I wanted to become a manager and yes I got it. I was 17 out of 4,974 Filipinos in the management team of Emirates when I left Dubai in December 2016.
At 34, I experienced burnout, unexplainable unhappiness, and mom's guilt. I wanted to become a housewife so I can spend more time with my children. Yes, I got my housewife dream through my husband's relocation to Malaysia in 2016.
At 37, I experienced stay-at-home depression. I wanted to work again but freelance. Yes, I became a freelance consultant for Emirates Airlines.
At 38, we relocated back to the Philippines after 12 years of being away. I wanted to have my own passion-based business. Yes, I started a business that I love - Caltan Training and Consultancy, Philippines.
At 39, our family experienced an earthquake and an attempted robbery on the same day in the Philippines. I wanted to work and move back to Dubai for the children's safety and security. Yes, I landed a job in 8 days.
At 42, I quit my corporate job and registered my business in Dubai Caltan Training and Consultancy, LLC.
I knew I was doing something right because I landed my dream job one after another, be it a promotion, a new job in another country, and a new business to become my own boss.
I started teaching others my dream job blueprint since 2014 and their results were quicker and much better than mine.
